- Advanced suturing
Session 3: Orthopedics
Led by Dr. Scott Sherman: Lead Editor for Emergency Orthopedics, Instructor, ACEP National Advanced Procedures Cadaver Lab Invited Faculty.
- Perform a rapid, systematic examination of the shoulder, wrist, hand, knee, ankle/foot
- Recognize common orthopedic injuries on examination
- Identify potentially occult fractures and dislocations on plain radiographs
- Understand methods to treat common orthopedic problems and reduce dislocations
- Determine the proper position to splint injured extremities

The conference hotel is the Chicago Marriott at Illinois Medical District just two blocks from the course on the southwest corner of Harrison and Ashland. Reservations recommended.
